Sentence No Sense

Hello, I am filling an employment application out right now and can't get through following sentence: "List every period of employment, or period of unemployment since age 17 or the last 10 years whichever is longer" Does this mean list employment since the age of 17 or only the last 10 years? I am 45, so do I have to list the last 10 years or since I turned 17? Very confusing.

Thank you

What a poorly written instruction! I suggest you write it all, or as much as you have space for. Start with the present, and work backwards.

MAD KingVery confusing.
Very confusing indeed. I think they want only the last 10 years. For you, that's the years from when you were 35 to the present.

That is not what they wrote, however. Taken literally, they want all the years since you turned 17. I would ignore it.

Do you really want to work for a company that is so incompetent that
