Sentence meaning help

Hi teachers,

I would like to use the following sentence but would like to confirm what it means first. Here it is: I am in a dreamy state of mind.

Does that sentence have the same meaning as "I feel I am in a dream at this particular time".

I am asking because at that time I was having a good time and my mind was so happy and relaxed as if the situation and feeling was a dream. So could that be implied by the sentence I am asking about?

Thanks!

" People daydream when they are bored. They imagine themselves on a beautiful white sandy beach with other beautiful people being served icy drinks. It makes them forget about the current situation - maybe in a boring meeting or in a boring lecture or on hold on a phone call.

The sentence to me means "I am daydreaming." People daydream when they are bored. They imagine themselves on a beautiful white sandy beach with other beautiful people being served icy drinks. It makes them forget about the current situation - maybe in a boring meeting or in a boring lecture or on hold on a phone call.
