Sentence meaning

Hello, could you please check whether the sentences below are correct. Inside the paranthesis I wrote the word that I want to use in the sentence. If I am using it wrong, will you please use it in a correct way. Thanks.


1-(tumult)- The rebellion against the king caused a huge tumult and the government authorities didn't know what to do.


2-(bode)- This peace treaty bode well for both nations in the future.


The tention between government and public bode rebellion.


3-(restive)- Being frustrated of waiting, the restive audience clamoured for show to start.


4-(commensurate)- Being advanced in technology and science is commensurate with having power for a country.


5-(torpor)- Summer leads to torpor for almost every student.


6-(Impart)- The reasons he imparted seemed ridiculous, but were they?


7-(euphoria)- At the day of independence, crowds were on the street with a euphoria.


8-(proverbial)- In order to understand the phenomenon of tsunami, consider a proverbial stone thrown in to a lake. [It means ordinary here right?]


A proverbial insect has a chitin shell.


9-(gloat)- Audience of Collessium gloated when emperor ordered lions to the arena.
