I switched the presents around because I found out that Jane doesn't like red lipstick? can you explain this sentence.

eg I bought two presents. One was lipstick, for Jane. One was a sweater, for Mary. I changed my mind. I decided to give the sweater to Jane, and the lipstick to Mary.
