sentence inquiry

I received this sentence from my colleague and would like to know if it is correct?

I would like to talk with you about some of my thoughts, as a way to keep on track 'of completing' your MS degree in 2 years.

Specifically, the use of ‘of completing’, which sounds awkward to my ears. Should it be ‘to complete’ maybe?

Thanks.
