Sentence help

Is the any difference between the use of 'follow" and "following up" and "In regard to" in the following sentences?

Following up on our conversation earlier today, I am forwarding you the contract.

Following our conversation earlier today, I am forwarding you the contract.

In regrad to our conversation earlier today, I am forwarding you the contract.

I was told that "following up" us not the right phrase. What do you think?

Thanks!

I think 'following up' is fine in your sentence. I would not use "Following our conversation ..." in that sentence. "In regard to" is fine.
