Great. Thanks a lot teacher.

Would "period of study or study period" also be possible instead of the word 'duration'?

I think you mean courses, not studies.

A course is a series of lessons on some subject.
eg I have seen Math courses that range in duration from two weeks to a few months.

Actually I meant studies, as in clinical studies (trials).

Is there another word that can be used instead of 'duration', such as 'study period' or something else?

OK. But try not to repeat the word 'studies'.

eg I have seen clinical trials where the study period has ranged from two weeks to a few months.

Got it. Thanks a lot.

Just curious, would it be possible to use study period in the same manner as 'duration' in the original sentence, of course it not may be as good as the sentence you just provided?

How about simply this?
"I have seen clinical trials that ranged from two weeks to a few months."..

Yes, I like that sentence.

So, although words may imply the same meaning they can function or should be used differently, or may not work well in a sentence, such as our sentence with 'in duration' vs 'in stu

Yes, I agree.
And I think that what you say applies to other languages as well as to English.
