Is it correct to say the below in response to "do I sound rude"?

What else do you sound like?

Top answer

I would say that “correct” is hard to define here. Your response is rude, unless the person to whom you are speaking wants an honest answer and won’t be offended. It is sarcasm.

"What else do I sound like?" Is grammatical but means something else than the way you used it.
If you say something rude, and you mean it. Then a person responds by saying that was rude! If you respond by saying, "What else do I sound like?" it wouldn't be understood.
You might instead say, "Do I also sound angry?"
There is another possibility: "What else is new?" is an expression

“What else do I sound like?” does not mean the same as “Do I really sound like that?”

If instead, you said, “What else do I sound like?”

I am not saying that they mean the same thing. We have two different speakers here so I may have confused you with what I am asking because you keep using “I” instead of “you” in my original sentence (What else do you sound like?).

Here is the example:

We’ll assume that there was something said by Speaker 1, and Speaker 1 is unsure how he had presented those words. He asks, “Do I sound rude?”
Speaker 2, considers this and decides that the answer is Yes. He has a choice of being honest and saying, “Yes, you sound rude” or being indirect and responding with his own question, “What else do you sound like?”

I see. So in this case what does the indirect response “What else do you sound like?” imply? Is it a sarcasm kind of response that o
