Sentence Grammar

Hello,

I was wondering if the following sentences are correct grammatically:

"I will graduate in Spring 2013, ranked 1st with the highest GPA in the department"

"Ranked 1st with the highest GPA in the department, I will graduate in Spring 2013"

I mean the connection between the two clauses is correct?

Thanks.

  • It is somewhat redundant to say "ranked first" and "with the highest GPA" because obviously the highest GPA would rank you first.
