Sentence formation

Hello,
I've seen even native speakers write "Please find the attached document" when they want the audience to know that there's an attachment. Is this right usage? It doesn't sound right at all to me.

Thanks,
Prasanna

It doesn't sound right to me either. It may be a confusion with "Please find attached the document", which is a formal wording.

This phrase seems to me to be such tired jargon.

I would favour
eg The document is attached.
eg I have attached the document.

Within the realm of business jargon, do you think "Please find the attached document" is actually correct business jargon? To me it doesn't even seem that.

No, I don't. I was referring to "Please find attached the document".

Sorry if I wasn't clear.
