Sentence for law school personal statement- Does it make sense?

The sentence is: "The importance of having servant-leaders as lawyers in today’s political, social, and economic climate is inestimable, and the value of a legal education to servant-leadership is tantamount." Tantamount means equal in quantity. Is the meaning of the sentence clear? Or do I need to change "tantamount" to "equally important"?
