It's fine. Another very idiomatic pattern is "Hurry up and ..."
"Hurry up and eat your breakfast!"
"Hurry up and come over here!"
"Hurry up and buy this while it's on sale!"
"Hurry up and take a look at this!"
"Hurry up and get your coat! We're leaving!"

Modern bureaucracy means that we often have to hurry up and wait!
