Sentence correctness

Hi

The police personnel who rescued the injured persons of a car that fell off a over bridge were rewarded.

Is this sentence grammatical?

I have this doubt as there are two relative clauses embedded between the main clause.

The embedded relative clauses are not a problem. The sentence just needs to be made a little more idiomatic. The police who rescued the injured persons from a car that fell off a bridge were rewarded.

This is vague because it does specify police officers or members of staff. It is also too formal.
