Sentence correctness

Hi

Please tell me both sentences are correct.

(I understand the difference in the meaning, nevertheless I would like to know what native speakers think about them)

1. Sylvia admires her sister more than her brother.

I understand this is a simple sentence and Sylvia is the subject and sister and brother are objects.

2. Sylvia admires her sister more than her brother does.

I understand this is a complex sentence with main clause—"Sylvia admires her sister"—and subordinate clause— "more than her brother does"
