Sentence correctness

Please help me with this sentence.

The Democrats have accused the Republicans of resorting to dirty tricks by planting a mole on the Democrat's planning committee and then using the information obtained to sabotage the Democrat's campaign.

My questions:

Is 'of' necessary before using if the Democrats accuse Republicans of two things—"resorting to dirty tricks..." and "using the information....."?
