sentence correctness

Dear teachers,

1) Is the following sentence acceptable ?

i) The hatred between the Montagues and Capulets ends up killing their only two children.

Or should we say:

ii) The hatred between the Montagues and Capulets ends up in the killing/death of their only two children.

2) What is an anthropomorphic rhetoric ?

I prefer your second sentence in 1., Hela. The result of the hatred is the death of R. & J., but the hatred didn't actually kill them.

I have no idea about 2., except that it might be a rethoric with a head, limbs etc... ? Or that uses metaphors related to the human body?

Which sentence is acceptable, please ?

a) The hatred between the Montagues and Capulets results in the deaths / death of Tybalt and Mercutio, and Romeo and Juliet.

b) The hatred between the Montagues and Capulets ends up in the death of their only / sole two // their own children.
