Goodmorning everyone,

- The capital letter was just a mistake.

- I deduce that the sentence starting with "Both books..." is correct in English, right MrP? Because I found it rather odd, but of course I'm not a native!

- Are there other words that can be written istead of "deteriorate"?

Yes, it's both correct and odd! It's the "topicalized" version of Nona's sentence (which is the natural version).

"Deteriorate" seems to fit the register of the sentence. "Go downhill" might be used in this context, informally.

I expect other members will have other suggestions, though!
