Dear Mr. Micawber,

Thank you for your help. Would you check #1 and #2 revision below? Thanks

1. Generally, a consultant's fee is paid every quarter to Mr. Kim.

2. A consultant's fee for the third quarter was paid to Mr. Kim yesterday. Please check the attachment.

>>I'd like to know the preposition in is wrong in "A consultant's fee

1. Generally, a consultant's fee is paid every quarter to Mr. Kim.-- OK

2. A consultant's fee for the third quarter was paid to Mr. Kim yesterday. Please check the attachment.-- OK

I'd like to know the preposition in is wrong in "A consultant's fee in third quarter" is wrong?- Yes, wrong; use 'for'.

Is "Consultant payment" wrong?-- Sounds odd

Hi Mister Micawber,

I'm sorry I forgot to ask one question.

1. Would you please tell me why "a consultant's fee is made to Mr. Kim" where "made" is a problem?

2. Is "There will be on charge made on the extra batteries" correct?

Thank you.

1. Would you please tell me why "a consultant's fee is made to Mr. Kim" where "made" is a problem?-- 'Made' is the wrong verb. We don't 'make fees', though we do 'make payments'.

2. Is "There will be on charge made on the extra batteries" correct?-- I don't think so. Are you talking about money ('there'll be a charge for...') or about electricity ('the batteries'll be

Hi Mister Micawber,

It's about money. I'm sorry it should be "no charge" made on the extra batteries. The customer wrote and asked if he could get the extra batteries free.

I'd like to know if (as in money) a charge can be made. What preposition goes with "charge" here.

Thank you.

I've already told you:

Are you talking about money ('there'll be a charge for...')
