Thank you for your sentences. But I am also curious to know which words are correct in the sentences I wrote.

Also, would it be correct to use 'to' after 'help me' in both of your sentences?

Thanks.

1. Please send me the files, as they will be very helpful in guiding me 'with or on' what to study for the exam.
Whichever word you choose, your meaning will be clear but the sentence will not make grammatical sense.
The problem is the phrase: the file will guide me on what to study
You could instead say: the file will act as a guide, informing me of what to study

Although, for my second sentence 'could you please send me the files as they will help me decide what to study in preparation of the exam.'
I would not use 'help me to' because of the repetition of the word 'to': 'help me to decide what to study'
