Sentence correction

Hello,

I'm translating sentences for my homework, but I have problems with the ones below. Could you, please, have a look at them and say whether they are correct? I would be very grateful for your help.

1. She loves desserts. (desserts or dessert?)
2. I have always wanted to work for whom I wanted to work.
3. I'm on sick leave from this week.
4. Many pedestrians are knocked down while walking across the street.
5. I saw a hare running out into the road.
6. The driver ran red lights.
7. Spaniards are said to take a long break at midday.
8. Our world is going through immense changes.
9. He said that the woman had stolen a scarf and hidden it in her bag.
10. Hospitality and charm are some of of the most discriminating
characteristics of their culture.
