Why is this sentence wrong ?

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with it. " is an exclamation. "The course is over" is a perfectly correct declarative sentence.

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with it. These are two separate "sentences."

"Thank ***!" is an exclamation. "The course is over" is a perfectly correct declarative sentence.

Maybe the examination board wants you to say 'finished' instead of 'over'?
