Sentence correction

I was caught up in the same things other kids used to.

Hi,

Could anyone help me check the above sentence?

Do I have to add more words after "to", such as "be caught up in", or is it ok as it is?

I want to keep it as simple as possible but I need verification from a native speaker.

Thanks.

As a bare minimum you have to add "do". ... kids used to do.
