Sentence correction

Even to this day, all baby is doing is wandering around the house, saying“mama” and a few unrecognizable words, not reacting when somebody comes up to her and makes funny to make her smile.

Hi,

In the sentence above, a woman is describing her baby's ailing condition.

I believe the underlined phrase and word could be rephrased in a better way but I just can't think of good alternative expressions.

Also, I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could check the overall grammar of the sentence.

Thanks

Thanks for your comment.

I have added the underlined phrase to give a more concrete account of what happened.

"..., not reacting, other than a little hint of smile, when somebody comes up to her and makes funny faces to make her smile.

Could you tell me whether this is acceptable?
