Sentence Correction

Hi guys

Please someone help with this sentence one of the part is wrong ....

A.When nationalism reared its head in China,
B.the country's neighbours tremble.
C.They have been trembling especially hard this year.
D.In the wake of unrest in Tibet in March,
E.a virulently xenphobic mood has swept the country.

one of the part has got some error please find out as i am not able to trace it ...


Please give explaination for your answers ..

The tenses used in A and B cannot be logically combined.

You would have to say either this:
"When nationalism reared its head in China, the country's neighbours trembled."
or this:
"When nationalism rears its head in China, the country's neighbours tremble.

C. is a complete sentence already, starting with a capital letter and ending with a period (just a clue - the sentence is correct).
A. & D. are sentence beginnings, starting with capital letters and ending with commas.
B. & E. are sentence endings, starting with small letters and ending with periods.
D. may be completed by either B. or E. You may prefer one over the other for con
