Sentence correction

Word tells me the sentence is not right. Says "fragment". Can someone tell me what is wrong and how to correct it. Thanks

"First, subject knowledge in areas such as marketing, sales, corporate finance and accounting in order to broaden by foundation."

Hi Anon Believe it or not, Word is right. Technically, that's not a complete sentence. You could make it a grammatically complete sentence by adding "we need" after the word "First", for example.

Hi all,
If "First," is the same, "Subject knowledge....accounting" is the Subject. But "in order to broaden my foundation" is not a verb or a phrase verb. So, we need a verb to have a complete sentence. For example, "...is necessary in order to..."
Thanks,
