Is this senetnce correct?

Can I write the above sentence as

Thanks and regards.

Hi, I had met him 3 months ago. OK, but 'ago' is not a word you'd use a lot with this tense, because 'ago' is related to the present time. To make this sentence seem to fit, you need to create the right context, for example: I met Tom again last Sunday.

I do prefer the "3 months before" solution; is it also possible to say "3 months earlier"?

Hi,

Yes, examples of alternatives include 3 months earlier, previously, prior to that.

Thanks, Clive. I asked to be sure, because I tend to mix French with English, and vice-versa! Emotion: smile
