Sentence construction

"What I find is quite interesting." In that sentence, why the main verb "find" is after the linking verb "is"? I get confuse with the sentence construction.

The more conventional construction of that phrase would be "What I find quite interesting is..."

The construction you list has the unfortunate side effect of requiring more than one use of is: "What I find is quite interesting is..."
