Sentence-completion help

Until the current warming trend exceeds the range of normal climatic fluctuations, there will be, among scientists, considerable ---- the possibility that increasing levels of atmospheric CO2 can cause long-term warming effects.
A. interest in
B. uncertainty about
C. enthusiasm for
D. worry about
E. experimentation on

When I read along, I followed my hunch and ticked B in no time, because I was racing time to finish the test. But after I checked the key of the answers, it’s surprisingly D. So I reread it again, it’s reasonable I would admit. But at the first glance of the sentence, you would find you can’t help but choosing B, because "until…, there will be …" suggests things haven’t happened, and we sure would be uncertain about them. What do you think, or in other word, how do I avoid this problem? Thank you soooo much for your time.

well if you think about it logically, there isn't uncertainty... They are certain of a possibility that the increasing possibilities of atmospheric CO2 can cause long term warming effects, so that answer must be eliminated. I think you need to slow down when taking the tests and make sure you understand the sentence completely.
