Sentence completion

The author argues for serious treatment of such arts as crochet and needlework, finding in too many art historians a cultural blindness --- to their ---- textiles as a medium in which women artists pre-dominate.
(A) traceable.. prejudice against
(B) opposed.. distrust of

(D) reduced.. respect for
(E) corresponding.. expertise in


I have no idea which one is correct. Please help me analyse the structure of the sentence. Thanks a lot.

I was about to go for D but I think I'll pick A as the best option. With A the idea would be that you can find TRACES of how art historians are PREJUDICED AGAINST needlework as a form of art : they are holding it in such little esteem that they don't see it as a medium that can be labelled as art. With D it could work but then it would sound like the point the author is making has something to do with women being able to predominate in litterature, painting and so forth...

Thank you Waiti. I know what's going on there. Actually the cultural blindness (the serious treatment of crochet and needlework the author argues for) already suggests the "prejudice". I guess I was blindfolded by "in too many art historians..." which sounds not that gainly to me. I was stopped there because I don't know what it says. But after read it several times, it become fine.
