B, C, D and E qualify existing relationships. A conventional relationship doesn't have to exist already, it's simply something eveybody agrees on.

intended to convey a particular meaning according to an agreed convention. Often contrasted with NATURAL.

Natural is the word that your looking for the opposite of. So conventional is your answer. (No natural connection means no intrinsic connection.)
