Sentence combination
Dear All,
I have a sentence combination exercise to do. Here are the sentences.
There are twenty boys in my class.
Many boys in my class want to be sports stars.
What I need to do here is to combine the two sentences together. My question is should I write “ Many of the boys in my class want to be sports stars,” Or “ Many of the twenty boys in my class want to be sports stars?"

You can say There are twenty boys in my class and many of them want to be sports stars.
Of your two suggestions, the latter is better because it includes the information that there are twenty boys.
