Sentence clarity question?

Is it clear that the 'new emperor' only sent the 'minotaur legion', not the ogre army? Or should I change the wording? The rebels faced an assault from an ogre army and a minotaur legion that had been sent by the new emperor, Ardnor de-Droka, the dark-hearted son of Nephera and the recently slain Hotak.

It is not clear. Both the ogre army and the minotaur legion could have been sent by the new emperor. If the distinction is important, yes, go ahead and change the wording.

Okay thanks. Is this revision better? The rebels soon faced an assault from an ogre army that served Golgren and a minotaur legion sent by the new Emperor of the Minotaur Empire, Ardnor de-Droka, the dark-hearted son of Nephera and the recently slain Hotak.
