Sentence check vol.6

Hi.

I got problems with the following sentences:

1. We live in an enlightened age but as long as there is an aspiration in the human mind for an understanding of the mysterious and unknown, occultism will flourish.

(shouldn’t it be: “there is aspiration” and “for understanding” ?)

2.Many people believe that there is a connection between the Zodiac sign and an individual’s life. (is “an” correct or should it be “the”?)

3. Since they have little respect for convention and seldom conform to the norm, they sometimes have difficulty working with others. (is “seldom” correct here? And shouldn’t be “have difficulties” instead of “have difficulty”? )

4.The Pisces sign is symbolised by a fish. It is ruled by Neptune, the planet of mystery and glamour, and its dominant element is 'water' (shouldn’t there be: “a planet”?)

5. Aries is symbolised by the ram, and its element is 'fire' (shouldn’t there be “a ram”)
