Please point out the mistakes in these sentences.

Brake pedal
  • Brake pedal is helpful in bringing the vehicle to a halt. On pressing the brake pedal, the brake mechanism in the vehicle is initiated and the vehicle is brought to a halt.
  • It is better to avoid sudden brake and as far as possible the brake needs to be applied in a gentle pace.
  • Driving carefully, anticipating the movements of vehicles which come at the opposite direction and also those which might show up suddenly from the lanes on the way, prevents unnecessary application of brakes,
  • While driving down the slopes, it is not right to bring the gear to neutral and control the movement with the help of the brakes.
  • It is necessary to slow down ahead of taking a turn and it is not proper to use the brake in the turn.
  • It is important to avoid sudden brakes on slippery tracks.
  • While the vehicle is moving at a high speed, unless the wheels are straight, it is not safe to apply sudden brake.
  • Once the vehicle has passed through a watery path, the brake liner gets warmed up and reverts to its original condition once the brake pedal is pressed and let free repeatedly for a few times.

I remember in the previous set of questions for which you asked corrections, one sentence stood out. It was about making sure that the seat was fastened to the floor of the car and didn't shake. How old is this work you

First of all thanks for your concern.

The book is in Tamil- The langauge of Tamil Nadu which is one of the most prominent states in India.

The book is meant for the driver trainees. The book has not been in English so far as it was designed only for the local population. Now as the company is widening its range it wants the book to be in English.

Hi Clive,

I'm not certain if you are asking me or Vsuresh, but Vsuresh's original text can be found in the first post and my editing is in the second. There were quite a few sentences (most) that needed corrections. Later on, I informed him that I was particularly concerned I may have changed too much in the sentence about "Break Pedal", but he said no.
