Sentence check
Hi,
are the following sentences correct,please?
1] If you were capable of handling the car,you wouldn't have skidded and crashed into a tree yesterday.
2] The lumberjacks chopped down the tree using the chainsaws,but a moment later it dawned on them that they had cut down a wrong tree.
3] Smoking badly affects your health,causing major damage of your lungs,and furthermore, it's considered rather unfashionable nowadays. These two factors might put a stop to the raising number of smokers.
4] My dad has gotten sacked by the employer for not fulfilling his duties.
5] Keep us in the loop the whole journey,will you? We'll be worried unless you call us within 30 minutes from the start of your journey.
6] The kids sneaked out of the room without me noticing them, for I was nodding off and therefore couldn't take notice of them.
7] The movie reminds me of a clash between me and my brother. He was constantly jumping on me because I didn't want to follow his orders. We didn't really get along.
