Sentence chceck vol.2.

Hi!

I have some doubts about some sentences and I need somebody (possibly a native speaker) to help me with them.

  1. On the other hand, the mass media should not promote the image of the slim female form as the ideal to follow because for many women pursuing this ideal could be extremely harmful. (shouldn’t there be: On the other hand, mass media should not promote the image of a slim female form as an ideal to follow because for many women pursuing this ideal could be extremely harmful.?)
  2. Every day the media bombards us with information about (is “media” plural? So if it is then shouldn’t be there “bombard”?)
  3. Still, one fact seems to be certain: there is no ideal diet, and diet in itself, even well-balanced, will not solve all our problems. (is “in” necessary here or is it incorrect?)
  4. “to tremble at the prospect of sth” is that correct? I mean the use of “the”.
  5. As a result, regimes that torture, unjustly imprison or disenfranchise their citizens are pushed or shamed into changing their behaviour. (can we say that “regimes “do” sth” like a person? )
Thanks.
