Please edit and enhance my sentence below.

Dear Dr. Stevens,

Thank you for contacting me and sending the details regarding/on/for/on the studaff membership. Unfortunately, I have informed Dr. Stall that I won't be able to join.

Thanks teacher. Studaff is an organization that arranges symposiums and events for students.

Do I need to say anything else at the end? Such as thanks for selecting me to be part of the membership or something, or should I just stop there?

Also, out of curiosity, would any of the other options that I provided with the word 'regarding' work (for, on, about etc)?
