sentence analysis

Hello, I'm trying to analyse this sentence.

The sentence reads: I usually go swimming with my best friend and his rather unusual girlfriend. Am I correct in calling "my" and "his" possessive adjectives? Isn't "with my best friend and his rather usual girlfriend" a complement. Really don't like this type of exercise... any hints?

Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for the analysis of the sentence. Thereare no different colours on my screen, nevertheless it's think its clear. What I don't understand is the part about the possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives. I understood that possessive pronouns replace nouns and possessive adjectives describe them. So, the possessive pronouns would be: mine, yours, his/hers/its, ours, yours, theirs.

I disagree.
My and his are possesive adjectives. They modify nouns (friend and girlfriend) A possesive pronoun can replace a noun. My cannot replace any nouns.
Additonally, "with my best friend and his rather unusual girlfriend" is a prepositional phrase led by the preposition with.
It is an adverbial prepositional phrase.
A subjective complement follows a linking verb.
