Sentence agreement

Hi All,

I am confused about whether to add a 's' in the following sentence.

'The following are the planned software options that require new license key(s):'

There are many software options and each needs a single unique license key. Should I add the 's' to 'key' in the dependent clause? The dependent clause is modifying "options" which is pural. Does it make sense to use pural form of key?

Thanks,
Ron

Thanks Clive for you recommendation. I can certainly see clarity in the modified version. However, I still want to know whether adding 's' to the 'key' make sense? This is a situation I encountered many times in the past.

Thanks,

Hi,

Just adding 's' leaves your statement seeming ambiguous.

Often the context or topic will make the meaning clear.

eg 'The men have pains in their heads' does not make me think that each man may have multiple heads.
