Sentence about neither..nor?

Is this correct?

I have neither a father nor a brother?

Okay, I thought "Neither" should be used in front of the sentence only. You know, like "Neither my father nor my brother is still alive". But I don't have a brother. So, it sounds weird. Thanks!
