Is this sentence correct (or does it even make sense):



"After her performance, she notices that for five minutes, the claps never ceased."



Note: By 'claps', I mean applauses, and by 'ceased', I mean 'stopped'.

Use 'applause' (uncountable noun) instead of 'claps'. (There is no word "applauses".)

I don't know why you used the present tense for 'notice'.

After her performance, she noticed that for five minutes the applause never ceased.

Also,

After her performance she noticed that the applause didn't let up for five minutes.
