Sentence

Hi teachers, can anyone help me with this minor confusion?

I was speaking english and correcting my friend to *** him off, and he suddenly said "stop doing that, you're like a kid". I replied back saying "nah, you're just stupid."

Is the word just in my sentence necessary?
Should it be: you're stupid?
