Hi
Please tell me if this sentence is OK.
I am not sure with style or correctness pertaining to the underlined portion.

We would like to invite you for the Prize Giving ceremony,which is to be held in the Bertram Hall on the 14th of this month.

Hmm ... I think "invite for" typically implies a more equal participation with the inviter and/or is more often used with "invite in/over/round/etc." than plain "invite".

He invited me in for a drink.
He invited me over for dinner.
