This is a highly technical sentence but the formation and word choice are not reflecting that. I kind of have an idea what you tried to say but not precise enough to help with the sentence. But I would say this. if I understand it correctly, the troughs track the sun by sensors and the movements are aided by motors controlled by highly sophisticated electronics. I am ot sure I

The parabolic troughs need to be able to continually adjust their orientation so that their cross-sectional axis of symmetry always points to the sun.

If you want a technical term for the type of mounting used for this application, it is an "equatorial mount." The drive mechanism is called a "siderial drive."
