Sentence

1. I have never been more impressed with any other boy than I am with you.
2. I have never been more impressed with any other boy than you.
Which is more grammatical? And what effect will it make if I omit "other" from the sentence?

1. I have never been more impressed with any other boy than I am with you. Clear and unambiguous.
2. I have never been more impressed with any other boy than you.
Native speakers would naturally take this to mean the same as #1.
But I suppose in theory it could mean
