"got inspired" is not wrong but it is very casual/informal. "was inspired" is indeed better.

Here's the difference. If you say or write "I was inspired by a movie" in the U.S., people will think your English is pretty good. If you say "inspired from a movie", people will think you don't know the language very well and you should probably study it a little more before trying to
