Hi

This sentence occurs in a leave letter.

I want to know whether the portion in italics is correct.

"I would like you to grant me leave for two days, that is, on the 7th and 8th of January."

Top answer

The grammar is OK, but the phrasing is not the usual. Please grant me leave for two days (January 7 and 8) .
