Sentence

Hi there,

I've got a question regarding the sentence as the time pass by.

I've been teaching english in my country and I often tell my students not to worry too much about grammar rules, as they will get used to it eventually. I would like to know if the following sentence makes sense if used instead of get used.

You will learn grammar as the time pass by
