Sentence

Hello.

I'd like to know if the next sentence is correct.

Our function is to review loan records to verify the quality of the risk to avoid defaults in the future.

Thanks.

Hi, I wouldn't say it is wrong, but it is very awkward because there are too many 'to's for easy understanding. It sounds odd to me to 'verify the quality of the risk'. I suggest 'addess the level or degree of risk'.

  • You are obviously not talking about the past.

Hi,

I wouldn't say it is wrong, but it is very awkward because there are too many 'to's for easy understanding.

It sounds odd to me to 'verify the quality of the risk'. I suggest 'addess the level or degree of risk'.

Do you need to say 'in the future'? You are obviously not talking about the past.

Best wishes, Clive
