My original sentence says that he graduated from university and then took postgraduate studies and completed them, in other words graduated from postgraduate studies.
Does this sentence sound good to you: He graduated from University (Department of English Language and Literature) and Postgraduate Studies in Translation.
It doesn't sound right. Here are a few comments.
graduate = receive a degree
graduate from a university - suggests you then left the university
What about this version: He graduated from University (Department of English Language and Literature) and completed a one-year Postgraduate Studies in Translation.
He was going to university for 5 years, then he got his M.A. and then, say, after 5 years he decided to take postgraduate studies which last one year, but first you have to have an M.A. to be allowed to sign up for such studies, and that's why they are called "postgraduate" because first you have to graduate from university.
Well, OK, now that you've given a lot more context.
I'd suggest this.
He graduated from University (Department of English Language and Literature) and later completed a one-year Postgraduate Studies in Translation program.
